Ayurvedic uses :-

In Ayurveda, the fruit of the plant is considered to be laxative and anthelmintic.

The fruit is used to treat diseases such as bronchitis, sore throat, biliousness, inflammations, strangury, asthma and ailment of the eye, nose, heart and bladder.
